I've been narrowing my pick for garden tractor for months. It's about time to buy. It still comes down to dollars and cents, but I wonder if anyone has an opinion (stupid question), about which is better Hydro BDU 10 or K72 (a.k.a., Cub GTX2100 vs. JD x500).

I researched the BDU-10 early this year/late last year and found it to be similar in torque capabilities to the K58 tranny. I haven't looked into the K72 but it should have higher torque specs than the BDU-10. I would think both are good enough for those machines that you shouldn't have a problem. When you compare available add on tools and attachments the Deere's seem to be ahead and have a longer list of these attachments. I made the jump to the x749 because it seemed able to handle everything I need it to do.
