Hydro Filter help/Question

/ Hydro Filter help/Question #21
Just a thought. Did someone drill and tap a hole in the case somewhere after assembly? That is what the chips look like to me. My 2 cents.

I have done the 50 hour service on two different tractors and I did not have near as much metal either time. I agree with replacing the fluid when you replace the filters. My guess is send that pic to kubota and they would give you some filters and fluid. Thats a lot of crap that was in your hydro system. The filter did its job though!

A little off topic but this is also why I make sure I use a KUBOTA brand hydraulic filter. I had no luck trying to find a sutable cross to a baldwin or hastings etc., not to mention most dont have the magnets. I dont use the engine oil filter from kubota. It is a common size and thread that can be crossed to any filter mfg of choice. IMO, a better quality engine oil filter can be had for less $$$ outside of a kubota dealership, but that is not the case with the hydraulic filter.

I even took the old magnet from my old hydraulic and stuck on the outside of the engine oil fiter for added peice of mind.
