Thanks for the science behind our observations! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It just goes to show you how TBN brings it all together. Ask a question and you'll get an answer, or at least a team of researchers will start up on it. I love this place! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi PJ - I keep a ring-type hitch pin (3/8" pin with about a 2" dia spring ring on end) for this - just clip it onto one of the guide sleeves for hoses on the lift arms (on my 1430 - sure other models have some place). Nice thing about this device is that the end is rounded a bit to protect the o-ring in the quick connect, and the snap ring keeps it on the coupler barrel - just force it open a bit and slip it into the coupler - then take the coupler and pin in hand and bump it into the lift arm. A little practice will do it on the first tap, and you will develop a technique to avoid an eyewash! Ring pin is always handy without digging into a box and you only need two hands!
