TYM 353
I have just drained and replaced my transmission oil in my TYM 353, and now none of the hydraulics are working. Am I to bleed or prime the pump or something? The manual says nothing about it. Hope some can help. Thank You

Not to be a jerk, but is it reading full on the dip stick, and did you use the recommended oil/trans fluid?

On my bobcat I just need to cycle the hydraulics to prime the pump. I just work my loader a few times.

Another place to ask the question is the Hydraulics forum.

As noted above, just cycling the loader or whatever should do the trick.

Both the FEL and 3pt stopped working or just the 3pt? If only the 3pt there is the lever in front of the seat that may have been moved accidently, I have done it a couple of times. A call to the dealer for a 5 second answer made me feel pretty dumb. :duh:

Got it. You were right the cycling worked, But I was only able to get the cycling going through my steering, but it worked. Thank You.

Glad to hear you got it working. In some applications, they recommend raising the FEL before you drain the hydraulic fluid. After you've drained and refilled the tank, let the FEL down and it will prime the pump by forcing fluid back towards the pump/tank. Obviously, you have to make sure nobody walks under the FEL, etc, but it's an easy way to prime the system.
