When I fully extend my loader arms they make a screeching sound like brakes sound when metal touches metal. This happens at full extention of the arms. I also noticed looking at sight glass for hydraulic fluid, the glass has bubbles at the bottom. I remember reading you should see fluid half way up the sight glass. Unfortunately all my manuals are 400 miles south, so I can't look anything up.
What do I do? Put in more fluid, have the dealer look at it, ignore it or what?
HELP!!!

Are you holding the lever in the out position when you hear this noise? Sounds like yer popping the relief valve and that's why you may be getting air in the oil. It's called cavitation and hydraulic pumps hate it.

When you hear that squealing, back off the lever some what.

If the load is to heavy, the valve will relieve at the set pressure.

If the relief goes off a lot, the hyd fluid will heat up and there will be bubbles in the fluid.

When the squealing starts, pushing the lever more will gain no more force.

When you release the lever, the squealing should stop.

You could install a hyd gage and check the pressure.

Sqawking/screeching can mean that you need to grease your loader. If you are not going into bypass, I'd put some grease into the zerks for the loader bucket pivots to see if that stops your problem. If they are dry, you are wearing your pins/bushings excessively.
