Hydraulic valve leak

I bought a used brantly backhoe and the hydraulic control valves are leaking. how would I take it apart so that I can replace the o-rings? I took it off of the loader and disconnected all hydraulic hoses. Do I just unscrew the bottom and push the rods through?

Is the valve leaking from the spool or the stacked sections?

The part where the handle gets connected to. I'm guessing that's the spool? It definitely doesn't leak from where each section is connected to each other.

Some valve spools have o-rings that can be replaced.

Remove the cans from the bottom of each spool that is leaking and remove the parts on the end of the spool.

Remove the lever and push the spool out and repair.

How hard should it be to remove the spool? I took the can off and tried pushing the spool through and it sort of was hard so I stopped.

It should slide out.
