Just had a thought... If I were to build a shear to cu say up to 5 inch diameter trees could I run this with my 3rd Junction valve lines I have for my grapple? Does it have enough force to shear a tree off?

Sure, force is determined by pressure, and speed of the cyl is determined by volume in GPM's.

A 3 in cyl bore with 3000 psi, can generate a force of 21,206 lbs of force. About 10 ton

A 4 in cyl bore with 3000 psi, can generate a force of 37,699 lbs. About 18.8 ton
