Is it a good thing to have a hydraulic top link on a rotary cutter? I will be using a DK50 with a 6 ft cutter. I have two sets of remote valves on the rear, so I was wondering if it was a good idea or more trouble then it was worth. Does the cutter stay in position when cutting?

The rc is much easier to operate with the htl. But can be operated just fine without.

Thanks, do you have a recommendation on a specific one?

I recommend one with a check valve.
The check valve keeps cylinder from drifting off and they stay where you put them when under load.
You can get top link with a check valve at Surplus Center or Carter and Carter Machinery

Carter & Carter Machinery is now CCM Machinery,LLC.
Can you walk me through the steps to reverse the placement of the two cylinder hose fittings on the DPOCV so the longer pipe is at the front of the cylinder at the tractor pinning and the shorter pipe is back toward the attachment? Reason: To avoid any interference of hoses or pipes with the rest of the tractor gear when the 3-pt arms are raised to full height. I bought the cylinder from your company a few months ago-works fine but the hose leads and cylinder fittings are vunerable.
I saw this proceedure done on another thread but would like you to tell me how to go about it.
My tractor is blue. The green tractor (sorry about the photo size and quality) photos shows a bent pipe and the reversal of the DPOCV.

Agristore ships free over $50., seems to have the same or equivelant cylinders at decent prices as other sources and they are a sponsoring vendor in this site... all good things.

But..when I looked at their selection of hydraulic fittings, connectors, quick releases, and valves items their images make me think of the ones used and supplied on several of the Chinese tractors which I've read have been a source of trouble for some owners of those models.

Valves:Directional Control Valves ? AGRISTORE USA
Connectors etc.: http://www.agristoreusa.com/collections/Fittings-Connectors-Adaptorse

Can anyone tell that I'm seeing things - that those images do not accurately portray what is received, or that they have purchased such items from that vendor and received good quality products that brought them no unusual problems?
