Got a Kubota B21 with several rear attachments. Getting age worn, thinking of a Pats quick hitch. But, I recently put in a top n tilt kit and, with the Pats adding 4" to the length of the arms, I worry the hydraulic top link will be too short.

Would it be saner to attempt to add length to the existing link or to find one that is made longer to begin with. Not done any Shopping yet.

I'd have to measure but I think Pat's added two inches or so to the arms but it could have been four. In any case I had to get a longer PTO shaft as mine was at the limit for safe operation. I could have used the existing top link but opted for a longer one as mine would have been near full extension. With that said, I love the system for easy implement changes.

Pat's adds what I thought was 4 inches, but maybe is 2, to the length. When I removed my Pat's for a traditional quick hitch I had to get a smaller top link because of it.

Pat's adds 3 3/4" to the pin distance.
If you have the "correct" length hydraulic top link now, it will be all you do to connect to your implements, let alone get any rearward tilt out of it.

So, any thoughts on rewelding my existing link or just buying new? Seem Magister has that type in the ballpark of $200.00.

Some guys have made top link extenders:

Interesting.

Why, I could even make one myself. I got a welder, a plasma cutter and a drill press. If I only had a brain . . .

Which begs the question - will that put any added stress on the mount to to case area?
An extender will not add strain more than a longer top link would. If the extender is multi pin, It wiil lessen some strain configurations.
