I agree, plus a hydraulic is more controllable. I hope the 15 will work out for me, a 12 was pushing it for some of the utility poles I use, and that was the only choice I had from 12 was going with a 15 in a quality auger. I probably wasted money on the rock head but guess until I try it will I know. I thought about waiting on the large bit until I used the 9" a few times to see how well it does, I could of rented a larger bit from a few local renters if need be.

Never did follow up with the finished pics of my custom left offset , it really worked out nice. As far as the hydraulic unit over the 3 point setup , it’s no comparison, so much simpler to hook up and operate. IMG_3249.JPGIMG_3250.JPG
