Hydraulic squeel under heavy load

I have a piece of equipment that's homemade and recently I've started having a problem with the hydraulic system. Under a heavy load or when a cylinder maxes out, it has started loudly squealing. It used to be pretty much quiet. I thought it might be the pressure relief and changed it, but it made no noticeable difference. I tightened the belt and keep the filters changed, but nothing has helped. Can someone point me to what might be going wrong? It worked for a few years just fine until recently. It's a pretty basic system: open center, 20 gpm rexroth pump with a clutch that flows through a series of valves that operate several cylinders and a hydraulic motor. Thanks,

Add a hyd gauge to the system and see if the noise develops when you max out the cyl or stall the hyd motor.

I'm working on getting a gauge and getting it plumbed in. I can tell you it definitely develops with either maxing out a cylinder or stalling the hydraulic motor. I don't even have to stall the motor, just rev the engine up to speed the motor up and you can hear it start to squeal. If it stalls altogether (it or a cylinder) it is a deafening squeal. Could it be the pump itself? Or the clutch on the pump? I thought about changing the belt to see if maybe its dried out and causing it to slip even though its very tight. I have a spare pump but don't want to just start throwing parts at it. I forgot to mention earlier there's a priority valve in the system to send fluid to the steering. Not sure if it matters or not.
