Just wondering if it is possible to run a snowblower off of a hydraulic motor. I want to install my three point snowblower on the frontend. I have a 28 HP tractor and was wondering if my hydraulic pump would be large enough to run a hydraulic motor on my five foot snowblower. The big question is, how big of a hydraulic motor would I need.

The tractor wouldn't have enough GPM to do that. Could probably be done off the PTO with a hydraulic pump and a oil reservoir. Could also be done with the PTO via a shaft to the front. That would be the cheapest way to do it.

I agree with Kim, You will not have enough flow to power a snowblower. Adding a PTO driven pump, reservoir, large hoses, a valve, and fitting will run your close to $1000 to build...
