Today, I found an absolutely great repair shop in the Wash. DC area. Hydraulics Unlimited. A machinist friend said I should stop by and try them out. They not only had all of the seals I needed on the shelf, they apologized for not being able to make a brass rod-end bearing until around lunch time. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif They pointed out a couple of pitted spots that needed attention. Thought for sure they were going to say it needed a new rod, but nope, they welded, ground and polished the old one ( and let me watch /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) Said they only put on a new rod if the old one is too bent up to work with. And, they were extremely reasonable price wise too.

An overall great experience dealing with them.

Good for you on the positive post! We're often quick to complain about poor quality or service, need to remember to stroke the good guys too. Glad to hear about the great service.

SO what was the price for the work done?

I want to get a better feel for what is reasonable.

Thanks!
