How does the pump couple up to the drive gear?

I would take pump back off and take a screwdriver and see if you can turn #25, if so all you need is #26. What does it say #24 is? Make sure the pump and drive are mating up. But kind of looks like to get a new key in the front cover has to come off.

What does it say #24 is?

That is a tang drive extension, used for front mounted hydraulic pumps (power steering, hydraulic shuttle clutch, etc.). Not used in this application.

I finally got time to work on the tractor. Does anyone have a diagram for the 284 that shows the pump drive assembly? I think my problem maybe a missing part.(the price you pay for free help)
