The steering went out on my 4020. The dealer is having a hard time trying to figure out exactly what is the problem. Its like driving a Mack truck with manual steering. If i use the loader to lift the front up the steering is much easier but still hard to turn. Also how many of you are having problems with the o-rings leaking fluid and getting hot at the quick disconnects for the loader. The dealer has had it for 3 weeks. My patience is wearing thin with them. Everybody start throwing ideas my way. Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Sounds like a power steering pump, has your dealer checked the gear drive on the pump, as for the o-rings you need to make sure the quick connecters are not moving alot, this will cause the o-rings to pinch.

This is really not to hard to troubleshoot. With the engine running at an idle and you turn the wheel, does the RPM fall or the engine almost dies? If it does, then what you have is a stuck check valve on the steering cyclinder. If it doesn't, then you have a bad pump.

My 2 cents.
