Hydraulic pressure builds up

Hello all. I'm looking for an answer as to why when I'm operating the PTO such a running a snowblower and run the bucket up and down or tilt, the tractor engine closed down until I stop operating the hydraulic controls to the bucket. While I was still operating the snow blower driving forward, I pulled the dipstick from the hydraulic tank and fluid blows up the dipstick hole , which relieves the hydraulic pressure and the bucket operates fine again.. what are some possible problems with the hydraulics building up so much pressure?

Sounds like the vent for the tractors hydraulic reservoir is plugged. If you list the make and model of tractor someone can probably tell you where that vent is located.
