What kind of oil can I use in my MF 1655? The manual says transmission and rear axle use M-1110 trans fluid. What is a reasonable facsimile? Does the Hydro pump use the same? Also anyone have a trans filter number other than massey? Can an oil filter be used instead?

M1110 is the same as permatran III.

Oil filters have different specifications and engine oil filters won't work for the hydraulics. You really need to use a specific filter.

Hey,

I would not use anything but Permtran. The cheaper oils are cheaper for a reason. And as for filters, don't use anything with a fram name on it!! JMHO!!
