Recently got a 53 Ford Jubilee that needs its hydraulic oil topped off. Can I fill the fill inlet by the gearshift and expect it to go to all 3 areas thnat require hydraulic oil e.g. transmission, differential, and pump. It has only 1 hydraulic oil dipstick so I am assuming the 3 sections are connedted and overflow into each other. Thanks for helping. 8n nut

Sorry.. don't work that way.

Did you notice that theye are 2 other fill locations? One under the front left of the seat.. and one behind the right rear of the seat.

trans is a single sump.

hyds is a single sump

diffy is a simgle sump.

PS.. I would advise against using plain hyd oil. A UTF oil meeting ,2c134 specs ( most all do these days ), is the preferred choice.

hyds has a dipstick.

diffy has a check plug left side of pto shaft.

trans has a check plug. right side of trans, about where yer heel rests, above the running board level. it's a plug not a bolt.. DO NOT remove any bolts from the side of the tranny or you will be posting back with even more questions.. :)

A jub manual would help cause there's a lot of changes between the jub and 8N. Welcome to the world of live hydraulics.
