Has anyone tried a friction reducer in your hydraulic system? If so what did you use and how did it work?

What problem does "friction reducer" solve that good quality clean oil not address?

I've been against additives since a can of "motor honey" caused my 1967 volkswagen to "suck a valve" 35 years ago. I thought at the time that I was being extra special nice to my vehicle.

I've never heard of this stuff and even ran a Google search and couldn't find anything. My understanding is that the hydraulic oil has the same consistency of a 5W30 motor oil.

A good friction reducer could help in the drive motor issues..

Best thing to do is make sure you warm your machine up before putting in road gear. Diff fluid stays a bit sticky until you do, feels like your trying to pull a train. Run it for a block or two in low range and that should warm it up. If your having other problems it might be a filter or low fluid.
