I'm looking for a replacement for Mobil DTE10 Excel 46. Place here carries it but only 55 gal. drums.
It's for PT30 Terex.

Your only source for compatibility is going to be the Terex manufacturer or someone's experience that you trust. There is a European standard that defines whether a hydraulic oil is petroleum based or alcohol based.....and there is a US standard that covers viscosity and flash point.

But there are no universal standards for hydraulic oil that cover material and seal compatibility, additives, or lubricity that resemble the SAE standards for engine oils.

I'd ask Terex if they have any recommendations for other oils. They've tested it or wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise it's a gamble with seals and materials.

Unfortunately, that goes for all the trans/hydraulic fluids used in tractors as well.
