Have a ford 3500 3 cylinder diesel from the sixties, not sure of exact year, that started making a whining noise in the hydraulic system once the machine warms up. Has a 735 loader with a backhoe.
Also, ford dealer says he has never seen my filter before, the hydraulic filter is in the bottom of the left frame, is a round cylinder that appears to be made of a fiberous material, open on both ends about a foot long maybe 2" diameter. Any suggestions on a parts supplier that will know what this is?
Thanks
Rich

Was this part of the tractor originally or an add on when the loader and back hoe was installed? Any name plate or numbers on the filter housing?

Schroeder Industries used to have a spot on there "Best fit" portion of their web-site where you could search by entering dimensional information. I do not know if that option is still available or not.

Appears to be part of the original 735 loader. The backhoe is an add on but is a ford backhoe.
