I had an hydraulic line that comes from the pump fail due to it rubbing on the engine block. I had a new one made at my local NAPA. On my model it was located on the right side. Comes out of the pump and runs up to the fire wall behind the top of the engine. I had to remove the hood and the hood bracket assembly to get to the end of the hose coupling. I put a piece of 3/4" split heater hose over the new line to prevent wearing through. It made quite the mess with the pressure it was under. I actually had to pressure wash all the fluid off before I found where the failure was.

You may want to check your lines/hoses to see if they are rubbing on any brackets/bolt heads/engine block. It may save you a potential headache.

The line I replaced is #8 in the diagram below.

Never fails. The hose that will always blow is in a very hard place to get at. :mur:

I just discovered one of the metal hydraulic tubes with a split in it on my F725. Due to the CRAPPY configuration drawing of the (4) tubes in the parts manual I can't tell for sure which one I need. Would really like to find someone on this site that has fought this tangled mess before .... and won.
