Hydraulic hoses are difficult to re-connect

I've loosened the quick connector with a wrench to relieve the pressure, worked in my case as it was really locked up.

After disconnecting I just press the male tip and bleed a teaspoon or so amt of fluid into a catch container. This leaves enuf expansion room so pressure doesnt build up.

Has anyone found something like this for coupling hoses up but not as pricey?

I had a hard time trying to re-couple hoses to my grapple and not rub up against grease on tractor loader pins.

Some where there was discussion on making a simple "U" shaped bracket with a nut welded to it and a bolt to press on ball (sort of like "C" clamp)... The DIY clamp has a spread base that goes around the coupler near lower end where threads are and the screw is long enough to thread down and put a bit of pressure on ball to relieve pressure...

OR you could do something like this... Actually modified QC...

For some reason, I don't have this problem.
Before I disconnect the QC's I shut off the tractor and work all the hydraulic levers back and forth to relieve line pressure.
When I do disconnect, I only get a little weep of fluid and not under pressure.

I do one extra step. After disconnect from the tractor supply, I reconnect the hoses to each other on the grapple side. and disconnect , and a bit more fluid will weep out. This leaves a "deficit" of fluid in the hoses. Then I connect the hoses to each other. Then even if temp changes or implement relaxes just a bit, since there is a deficit of fluid in the hoses, and pressure never builds. I NEVER have difficulty connecting hoses with this method. The other advantage is now the hoses are connected to each other and dirt/water cannot get in.
