hydraulic fluid

I have a DK35 with fel and bh.

I've noticed that the transmission stick is not showing any fluid.

Is this also the fill port for the hydraulic system?

Also what type of fluid is required for the transmission?

Engine, etc.

I've also noticed a little knob between my feet on the floor with a rabbit and turtle... what's that for?

The manual is so poorly written , it's unbelievable.

I think that is also the filler but don't quote me.
The knob with the rabbit and turtle is the 3 point hitch speed adjuster. Hope this helps. G

I'll attach a photo of the DK 35 transmission dipstick and fill tube.
The small tube with the orange cap to the left of the top link is the dipstick tube.
The larger orange cap to the right of the top link is the filler tube.

My manual calls for—
SHELL DONAX – TD or DONAX – TM
Mobil Mobil Fluid 423
Exxon Torque Fluid 56

I had a hard time finding these. I did find the Mobil Fluid in 55 gallon drums only. I contacted my dealer. He puts a multi-grade transmission fluid that meets about all of the tractor manufacturer’s specs. I called Kioti because my tractor was still under warranty, and the feller I talked to stated that the multi grade stuff you find at Advance, Car Quest, and NAPA would be fine and not void my warranty.

For the transmission a Heavy Duty hydraulic, transmission fluid should be fine.

For the engine I run Rotella T sythetic 5w-40, availible at most Wal-Marts for around $13 per gallon.

I run 90 weight gear oil in the front axle
