Is hydraulic fluid something that slowly burns up and has to be topped off? And how often are you topping off your coolant reservoir? The reason I ask is I went around and checked all fluids and cleaned her up yesterday and the rear hydraulic dipstick was dry and the coolant overflow was below low line. I had to add approximately 1 quart of hydraulic fluid. I also had a new EA grapple and 3rd function kit added, so I'm thinking it filled those new hoses which caused it to be low. ButI would of thought the dealership would of accounted for that and added some. 2555HST with 50 hours.

No, hydraulic fluid, doesn't "burn off".

Yes, the dealer should have checked it, and added the appropriate amount.

Don't put all your faith in anyone else, including them. Things being overlooked are not rare occurrences.

I don't know how much hydraulic fluid your tractor holds. But it's many gallons. So, being a quart low, is non issue.

I think your tractor holds close to 10 gallons of hyd fluid. Depending on how you use your tractor, you can loose a little radiator fluid just sloshing around in the overflow tank. If you fill it to the line, it will go up when the liquid is hot. And likewise go down with cold. Just like air pressure in a tire. Like ray66v stated, life is better if you be pro-active and take care of stuff yourself. Not that the dealer should have top'd it off, but you should climb and crawl all around your tractor checking for leaks, tighten bolts, etc. Good way to get to know your tractor, wiggle stuff, and spend some quality time with it..... :)
