howdy all im sure this has been discussed before but im wearing out my search button tryin to find the answer.
hooking up a grapple to FEL and have run hydraulic lines from rear remotes to front and would like to use a small
two port manifold to have quick disconnects up by my tourqe tube so when I change out front implaments can have
a solid mount to plug unplug my hoses. I have seen bulk head fittings where used but cant find the info on bulkhead fittings
or where to get, searched supplus center for bulkhead fittings but nothing. scratching head.

Howdy all,

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I'm wearing
out my search button trying to find the answer.

Hooking up a grapple to FEL and have run hydraulic lines from
rear remotes to front and would like to use a small two port manifold
to have quick disconnects up by my torque tube so when I change out
front implements can have a solid mount to plug unplug my hoses.

I have seen bulk head fittings where used but I can't find the info on bulkhead fittings
or where to get, searched Surplus Center for bulkhead fittings but nothing.
Scratching head.

Surplus center will not help you with this. it is not much of a problem, it just requires the right hydraulic parts and the proper hose and steel pipe routing.

Bulkhead fittings are a bit of a pain as they pass through existing "weldments" on
machinery that is assembled around them especially continuous miners.

You would be better off calling a local hydraulic repair shop that sells Parker Hannafin or Aeroquip hydraulic fittings and chatting with them for a while and finding out if a 2 port manifold block would be a better option for you as the block could be bolted to an existing weldment on the grapple frame as long as the hoses and fittings are clear of any moving part and the hose has the proper routing to prevent kinking and twisting creating premature hose failure and hot oil baths or high pressure hydraulic oil stream puncture wounds(not good/fatal)

If you can its better to use steel hydraulic pipe as much as possible to prevent damaged and blown hoses.
The local hydraulic repair shop can help you with this on the first try and you will not have blown hoses after they set the piping and 2 port manifold up for you.

I am NOT trying to spend your money just solving it on the first try and trying to prevent you from getting your head blown off by a blown hydraulic hose. The steel pipe hydraulic hose is smaller in diameter and stronger and will withstand the pressure created by the grapple cylinders.

Once you have the steel lines and 2 port manifold block on the grapple you will have no issues with hose or fittings.

WAS thinking I like the simplicity of a peace of angle iron for the mount is my plan going forward

You may want to think about using something like this, it provides a breakaway point if a line gets snagged. This is from Tractor Supply but it should be available at other locations.
