Hydraulic filter cleaning

I have a yanmar ym2010 ......hydraulics (bucket, 3 point) won't respond....fluid is ok.....no visible leaks.....tried all control options....could it be a plugged fluid filter?

It's possible, but I doubt it's plugged enough for everything to just stop-you would have noticed a performance problem for a while now.

Did everything stop all at once? Does the engine labor at all when ant control is moved?

I am suspecting a bad pump... is the fluid clean and clear? Not milky or foamy?

there are no visible signs of fluid abnormalities....

the loss of use was not gradual.....all at once.....there are no visible leaks....

I loosened a few of the hose connections and nothing came out, which to me indicates a bad pump as well....

Check the setting on your 3pt lever.

Give us a story. What where you doing when you lost hydraulic? Any weird noises, vibrations, smells?

Did you loosen the hose going back to the 3pt? If the pump is working, you should have seen fluid. and if you pulled the 3pt lever up, you should have seen lots of fluid.

A hyd gage is always a good investment.

when I lost hydraulics, I was plowing snow.....all at once, the front bucket and back blade did not respond to the controls....I saw nothing unusual....smell, color, leaks, etc........

I loosened the in and out hoses on the bucket controls to look for a leak....

Did you see any fluid squirt out? If not, then the pump is not pumping, or you have no fluid to pump.
