Backhoe Hydraulic fill JD 3320?? HELP :)

Hello,
I have a JD 3320 with the back hoe attachment. I blew a hose yesterday, I am going to get the new hose made now. Not sure where to check and or fill hydraulic fluid.
Need to know:
WHere to check
Is there a stick or is it fill to spill like oil in a generator
Can I use any hydraulic fluid or do I need something special??

You can use whatever you want, but JD (and I agree) suggests HyGard Lo-Viscosity.
