hydraulic control lever change

have 735 ford loader on ford 861 diesel with new 21 gal. per min front pump. hydraulics super, but trouble with dump and curl lever. up and down lever ok. have been using joystick levers. anyone ever switched one and if so what lever did you use.

What type of problems are you experiencing with the current valve?

Are you asking about just replacing the joystick vs the complete valve?

Is the current joystick connected directly to the valve or remote mount and cables connected to the valve spools?

have original valve now with two levers now, up and now works fine, curl and dump lever very stiff. have not been able to get screw from botton of spool to check return spring very tight and in confined space. have joystick on other tractor. wandering about changing the 235 to joystick.

I suspect that you might have to replace the whole valve assembly to get joystick operation.

Return spring area could be full of crud accumulated over the years.

thanks, you are probably right from the wqy it feels. am pretty good at diy, but going to take this to a hydraulics guy i use. may take a while. will let you know when i get the outcome.

The return spring is usualy a prety simple job. Its 2 bolts and a spring behind it. Unbolt the valve body from its mount if you cant get acess. All this would be quicker than taking it across town.
