Hydraulic Chute Rotator Problem??

While snow blowing with my front mid-mount pto driven snowblower, the hydraulic chute rotator works flawlessly while rotating to the left. When rotating to the right with the snowmblower in "float" I have to move the stick to the extreme right which takes the blower out of "float" to get a response. Because this is my first season with this I am wondering, Is this normal??

Wouldn't hurt to check with other owners, but I think it's operating as expected. The chute turner uses the same valve spool as the loader's dump function, which controls dump speed by applying pressure to both lines unless it's in the far-right detent position. The valve is optimized for the loader and is a little goofy for doing anything else, like turning a chute. As always, prompt cheerful refund if info is bogus. DickB

If you do a search on the term "REGEN" you will read a LOT of post's about this very problem. It's very frequent on the Kubota's because you have to move the joystick through the regen part to get to the non-regen part of the joystick like Dick wrote.

Thanks for the replies. Functionally speaking, it works fine. I just did not know if that is normal or not. Maybe others with the blower will eventually come across this thread and give their two cents.

Mine is the same. It takes some getting used to, since turning the chute right is a completely different feeling from turning it left. One day I'll have mine on an electric / hydraulic solenoid and just push a button to turn it, but for now..............
