Hydraulic auger On forklift

If you have a motor spool valve, just feed the IN port from the pump. Tank line will go to tank, and feed the work ports to the motor.

If the valve is in a series flow path, install the PB adapter and feed the next valve, and run the tank line to tank.

If no valve after the motor spool valve, then run the tank line to tank and plug the PB port.

I can't get the motor to run right. The only way I can get the motor to turn is to be lowering, raising, tilting or side tot side motion of the forklift. I got something plumbed wrong. Prince valve came with no instructions(they suck). It has directions, but not for the valve I purchased:mur:

I have a video of it running, but I can't get the video on here.

Your drawing is not correct.

Can not tee valves. Should be in series.

Open center hyd circuits should be in series, with PB from one valve feeding the nest valve IN port.

Does your red valve have PB?

If so, it should be feeding the IN port of the motor spool valve.

The work ports goes to the motor.

If you are using all the flow in the first valve, the motor will no get any fluid.

Just use half lever on the red valve and both valves will have flow.

I'm not sure about the power beyond. My flow comes from a pump on the front crankshaft of the engine. It goes into the red valve. That is where I put a tee.

If your three spool red valve is the only valve on the machine, it may not have a PB port.

Here is an option. Your motor spool valve has the PB port, so get the PB sleeve and install it in the PB port.

Connect the pump flow into the motor spool valve IN port.

Connect the tank line to a tee.

Connect the motor spool valve PB hose into the three spool red valve IN port.

Connect the red valve tank line to the tee and tee will go to tank.

Now everything is in series and each valve is protected.

Now the auger has priority and use whatever weight is necessary.

Use the auger at about 3/4 lever. This will allow some flow downstream and let you use the three spool valve to lower the auger or whatever.

Set the relief valve on the motor spool relief valve 50 psi below the pump rated pressure.

JJ thanks. It's coming along. Got a solid day of work to finish it. Got pipe, bits, everything I think.. See what happens

Good deal.

Show me some dug holes.

What size is your auger?

Is this for post or trees.

I have a 24 in auger for my unit.
