JJ, I think I am going to go ahead a make a drilling rig out of this. Deepest water here is 40 foot. My gpm is less than 10. 110-1213 charlynn is the pump I have in mind now. What do you think?

You max rpm will be about 96 rpm.

If you have about 2550 psi pressure, your torque will be around 9,745 in lbs.

Should work.

That h series is only about 10 cuin. If you have 10gpm it will turn over 200 rpm so too fast and not a lot of torque. 60-100 is more in the ballpark. I am impressed they will let you return a used motor, that is usually not the case. Like JJ said if we knew the GPM and pressure it would be easy to suggest something close. With 10 GPM 24 cuin would be more useable. oops I see you got a different motor, sorry. 800ft lbs will be better, What size auger/bit are you using. CJ

Thanks for the responses. I still think I will use 110-1213 cahr lynn. My gpm is supposed to be around 10 or less.

Do you guys think it will work right? I don't want to turn too fast or slow.

The motor speed is determined by the GPM's you provide.

A motor spool valve will control the speed.

OK thanks JJ . I can post some pics of my valve setup now(controls up, down, tilt, and side to side). Could you recommend a spool valve that I will need, and how to plumb it in? Also will I need a hydraulic oil cooler? Thanks

JJ . The pump I have is on front of tractor. Ran off the crankshaft. I side(hose) goes all the way back to the levers that control the forklift. From the levers is another hose that goes back to the oil tank( I guess the return). Could I pust some sort of gauge on the pressure line and tell the gpm and psi, or how would I do that? thanks

You can install a hyd gauge in a tee in the IN port of the first valve and check the pressure for any valve downstream.

To check flow, hyd shop have a flow gauge and pressure setup with a needle valve, relief valve and they can check the pressure and flow.

You can check the GPM by timing the flow in a bucket.

A 6 GPM pump will pump 6 gal per minute, so to verify this, put the output hose in a 5 gal bucket and see if you can get 1 gal in 10 sec.

A 12 GPM pump should flow 2 gal of fluid in 10 sec.

Max rpm produces max flow.

Your 10 GPM pump = 1 gal in 6 sec.
10 gal in 60 sec
