Hydraulic and differential oil

I have a 1975 Ford 4000 3cyl diesel. How do I check the Hydraulic fluid and rear end grease?

There should be a pipe plug on the side of one of the housing somewhere, it's either 1/8" or 1/4" pipe thread, pull that and add fluid until it comes out and it's full
