Grapple Hydralic Valve

I own a John Deere 4110 Compact Tractor with a front end loader. I am wanting to purchase a grapple for this tractor. I have been told I will need an 'Electric over Hydralic' kit or a Selector Valve with attachments. I have priced the latter out at $590.00. Is there a less expensive way I can go & still insure the correct operation of my grapple?
