Okay, I have a leak. It's at one of the quick-connects with the loader control lever. I think I will need to remove most of the other connectors in order to tighten this one, so I won't be doing it right away. I try to keep a tin lid on the mat to protect it, but I bush-hogged the tin lid... anyway, the mat has sorta... swollen... in that area.

Should I just hit it with de-greaser and find a new tin lid until I fix the leak?

On my 2810 mine did the same thing.

More than anything else, the fluid will make the mat slick and cause you to slip going on and off the tractor, so be careful.

Many times, the leak is caused by an 'O' ring in the quick connect that is pinched or worn. This is a two minute fix, to pull out the old one and insert a new one. O rings are available at most hardware stores....

I had heard that the O-ring could not be replaced (you are right about the dinged-up o-ring). My dealer sent me a new quick connect, and I installed it. Torqued it as tight as I dared with my inadequate tools, and now it leaks from the threads. Next time I will replace the ring, now that I know that is possible. Thanks!

Yep! I doped the threads pretty good -- I thought. Maybe not good enough.
