The valves on my Woods 6500 BackHoe has three 'shock relief' assemblies, one set at 2400 and two set at 2100 psi. Does anyone know which functions require shock relief? I suspect that swing would be one of them- maybe the two 2100's but would have to trace the line for the other function. Since its like 15 out with the wind blowing, it might be better to ask.

The problem to make me ask is the behavior of the crowd function. The dipper stick seems to advance at seemingly half speed and I'm trying to decide where this oil is being relieved. Everything else seems to behave normally. The dipper has been grabbed by many a rock while being transported. Crowd would be on the extend side of the clyinder (most surface area)
Thanx for any help.
Steve

Thanx for the link, I was looking at my hardcopy to get as far as I did. Its good to know that is all available that easily.
Tracing the circuit will involve looking at the handle and watching which way the spool moves to activate what function, then following the line thru the bundle. Lots of chances for an error. I suppose I could loosen a fitting a squirt myself with oil to prove out the circuit the fast way. Then that is all dependent on the relief and the hose being attached on the same circuit on the end of the valve body (meaning no mystery passages in the valve body).

Page 52 tells you everything you need to know about hose connections. That's why I provided the link.
