Hello everyone I am new to the site and looking for some help. I just purchased a new 5075e open station tractor and as soon as used it with my 447 baler it did not want to close the bale tensioner(I had to goose the hyds to get it close) and the hyds got really hot, hot enough that you didn't want to hold on to the baler hoses to disconnect them. I and my dealer have changed hose ends male and female. Then they took into the shop hooked it up to a dyno and had no fluctuations in hyd pressure but as soon as it was returned I went to the field with it and after 3 bales it started not wanting to close the bale tensioner again. We took it back to the dealers shop and drained the hyd oil it was the color of chocolate pudding and the screen was covered in some kind of grease. I think originally it was hot enough to melt the grease. They cleaned screen added a new hyd filter and new oil, I think there is a problem else where. What do you guys think and has there been anyone else with this problem.

Welcome to TBN. Sounds as if your dealer is handling the hyd problem. There's not a lot that can go wrong with rd hay baler hyd's.

I'll repeat "there's no a lot that can go wrong with rd hay baler hyd's" IE problem must be tractor related..
