hyd cooler hoses bulging - normal?

I just happened to pop the hood on my TC33D yesterday while it was running and noticed the two hydraulic cooler hoses were bulging a good bit...these are still the "older style" hoses where it's just a straight piece of hose bent in the 90 deg angle not molded, nor the kit NH supposedly has to replace these hoses.

Is this normal or is this just a sign of them getting ready to go?

Hoses of any kind shouldn't bulge when under pressure. Yours need replacing.

Is the repair kit from NH the best approach or has someone come up with a better "homegrown" solution?

Yes.

By the way, the hoses on my 25D are molded, they are not straight hoses that have been bent.

Time to change the hoses before they break. Be glad you noticed the bulge.

ok, of course it's snowing good here now...

will the zip tie method get me by in a pinch or is it best to just not run it at all?

does this also affect the 3ph or just the FEL? steering? HST?

Sorry my mistake. Good question. I would expect it would affect anything hydraulically controlled.
