Hurlimann Loader valve

I was thinking how rare and unheard of in my area of a compact tractor with diff lock on the front end, couldn't I ever use that on my tractor, and with a ground seed pto, the ones I see are at a set speed and at the rear only.

Now imagine having a front + rear locking diff + ground PTO powering a logging trailer with traction to the wheels and a crane on the woods? Makes an awesome combo. Used to be a very common setup, now they are all changing to hydraulic powered wheels on the logging trailers and using the PTO to power a big PTO pump.

Nice. It's humbling what some designers come up with. Does the ground speed driven trailer also need to sync with each tractor's tire size?

Yes they usually have a gearbox on the trailer where they will change gears to match the tractor.

That's all I can do is imagine for now, I agree power trailers is a awesome set-up. Is that your home-made logging trailer and are you the one that's making a FEL? That trailer looks really big compared to the tractor, and a bit more then what my tractor can handle. Have you seen these trailer types that looks like theres a hydraulic motor in between the tires, wonder if there any good? they'ed be more my size.

Nah, it's not my tractor nor trailer. I don't really do any type of logging other than the occasional "leaning to the wrong place" tree. I was using the picture as an example.

The trailer sure looks a bit on the bigger side but seems to work fine for most of the people I see using it.

PRogress,

Valve and plumbing in, System works as desired!

I took photos while everything was exposed, but this morning my wife tried to move them.....vaporized

Here are some "make up shots" as things are going back together.

It's nice to have float on the boom, and the freed up aux ports will be a boon for the blade and york rake.

Sure does suck up the time. And I'm not realy happy with the "arches" for that pair of lines. might need to see what can be done to route them low like the other pair.

While the hard lines were out for painting, It looked like a congregation of snakes on the sheet of card board.

I got real lucky with a few of the bends in the 1/2 inch steel line, snaking through what I thought would be near impossible. There is really NO ROOM for much of anything to pass under or between things. Certainly some of the runs would not have fit rubber hose.

Now if I could just figure why the 3PH doesn't fall when the lever is in float and the engine off...... ;-)
Hi!
I have a Hurliman Prince 325. 1999 model.
The tractor has only one hydraulic outlet.
I find this post very helpful, but I wish to ask some questions about the installation if you, or someone else remembered the answer to.

Im looking for the main supply from the hydraulic pump? Underneath the tractor i have found a pipe from the same area that the hydraulic pump got it oil supply. Can this be the main pipe from the hydraulic pump? (see last picture)?

Im looking for a place to drop inn and get hi pressure to a new control valve.

I tapped into the Power Steering priority valve as the high pressure source.

One could follow the output line from the pump and tee off of that, but then the steering would not be prioritized.

Thanks for quick answer CalG.
The Power Steering priority valve is located together with the Hydraulic steering control.

Now I know how to connect my future external hydraulic control valve (open centre) in serie with the rest of the hydraulic system. I will also drop in the "T" connection at the power steering priority valve for the "pressure relief valve" who is build-in the new valve-block.

Thanks for good answers! My work with the HJurlimann will proparly start in the summer. I will upload photos :)

Great! Glad to help.
I look forward to you sharing your progress.
I felt bad that my original "in work" photos were lost.

These Hurlimann, SAME, Lamborghini tractors really don't get the celebration they deserve. Very well thought out small tractors.
