HST question

Whats the lagest engine mahindra makes with HST? All i see is a 3510HST (25 hp pto) I need to run a 6' bush hog and need at leats 30 pto hp and hst.-JP

I have the 2810HST and it runs a 5' Woods BB60 just fine. I would think the 3510HST would run a 6' cutter. It has 28 hp at the pto vs. mine with 22.5. I believe they are both the same basic size with different engines. I just cut part of my field with 3' tall grass and it doesn't bog down at all. The grass was a bit wet but, but i cut when I can. The rain started again and drove me back in. It didn't last long and I'm headed back out.

I have the 2810HST and have a 6' bush hog behind it and it does the job just fine. The dealer sold the combo to me configured this way and also I wanted to make sure the cutter covered my tracks. You won't be able to cut up next to fence lines or buildings otherwise.

I have the 4530 which is 42hp eng and 34hp pto and if i cut thick stuff with a 6' mower sometimes it gets overloaded so i would have to see a 25 or 28 hp pto tractor pull a 6' mower over thick stuff and handle it to believe it.

However if your gona cut stuff thats not to thick you probably want have a bit of trouble but if you get in in grass thats about 2' tall or taller I think you need a bigger tractor than a 25 to 28 pto hp.

I used to own a L2500 kubota 4wd w/FEL 5' brush hog 5' box blade. This tractor was around 22 hp pto and it was a great tractor but a lot of times it was just to lite in the *** to do what i wanted to do so i made sure that i did not buy to small of a tractor the next time around.I also wanted the HST but you couldnt get it in the size tractor i wanted but there aint nothing wrong with a shuttle shift and im very pleased with it.
