If I am in high range and I mash done the pedal at slower speeds the engine lugs several hundred rpm and then catches back up. I doubt this causes damage but is it not advisable for any reason?

Tractor is 4320 cut, so 3 speed.

I meant mash down...stupid auto correct.

I assume you have eHydro transmission. If so, and if you have load match turned on I doubt if you can hurt anything. If load match is turned off, the tractor isn't going to like it -- hard on entire drive train and engine. Bending a connecting rod may be in the realm of possibilities.

The older 4320 tractors had a switch on the dash to turn load match on or off. The newer 4320's do not have the switch but you can program it on or off by following procedure in the Op Manual. The default setting for newer models is load match on.

BTW, why would you mash the pedal?

Are you serious? The acceleration is lots of fun but I've only done it about half a dozen times cause I am not sure what all is going on. If say I'm at 2400, 5mph and hit it the rpms go down to maybe 1800 or so, to the top speed of 12 or whatever engine speed dictate. Doesn't sound like it's lugging, just the hydraulic pump putting major load on the engine I figure. My tractor is not that old and load match is usually on, a switch on the dash. I sure get there quick! )

I just read the manual and it stated to slowly depress pedal. Probably not hurting anything but maybe not good practice either...

Flooring the pedal quickly is about the same as going from a low gear to a high gear in a standard transmission, that will load down any engine. You can do it but I don't recommend it, better to allow the engine and hydro tranny to build up speed gradually. No sense in straining the tractor unnecessarily.

Don't tear it up. :D

Or get the warranty out and read it carefully before you have to use it. I'd think the "mash" technique would be abuse.

But sounds like you now know by reading the manual. ;)

No that's fair. Like I said I only did it a few times and then realized it must be a heck of a load to drop rpms like that. I do think the manual should explain the HST a little more, as my diesel pickup experience doesn't have a lot of carry over here.
