Because Progress Integrated over Time = Zero. We are currently well into the downswing of the sine wave.

But since Nimco is American
maybe theres hope.

Call their corporate office, 262-8840950. You ought to be able to shame them into helping you. That is IF you can reach a pertinent human.

Hey, I actually got a reply with a schematic and I am able to order a part. It is a crazy price, but what are you going to do. Unless you know of an alternative.

Ya-ay!
Even crazy prices are usually cheaper than making it yourself. Theres often a whole lotta overhead needed, + knowledge, skill, and time. If you got that, copying a simple sample part can be pretty easy.

If he had a lathe, it would be simple. Having the valve in your hand and a few measuring tools, the required insert could be made.

Lots of dimensions missing. Need skill in grinding tools. Boring. Knowledge of gland sizing and compression. IOW, experience.

The image wasn't meant to be a dimensional drawing. Only showing the shape. You need to be competent with your measuring tools.
Need skill in grinding tools.
No grinding necessary for this.
Yes, but simple as drilling and boring to thread size.
Knowledge of gland sizing and compression.
Available in charts.
IOW, experience.
If you own a lathe, you should be able to use it.

No need to make it sound complicated or expensive. These could be run off in a CNC machine in less than five minutes. I could probably make it in less than an hour

Grinding : Lathe tools for groove and chamfer.
Boring : Counterbore with chamfer.
Charts : Research.
Expensive: Overhead - How much does a CNC machine with automated accoutrements cost? Even a good standard lathe is $thousands from china.
Time : Yeah I could too, starting from a sample part. Maybe even two of them manually in just a few more minutes. The thing is weve got experience and some prepaid overhead.

How much are you paying yourself?

You must be Union. :ROFLMAO:

No, but what difference could that make in the case of a person paying, maybe $100, for a part he could make in a hour, only if he had pertinent experience, prepaid overhead, and time?

I don't want to argue with you. Pay the $100 for the $5 part if you want. I was only stating an option for those with the wherewithal.

I would make it rather than pay that if I had a sample piece to go from. But Iv got all the stuff + experience on hand to do it. I doubt the OP does, so for him it would be out of the question.

Even for us, w/o a good drawing you are familiar with, or the sample, or (preferably) both, it would pay to buy it.
