How's everyone doing with the SNOW

I would disagree and say, removing every 6" so it doesn't compress gives an inflated overall total. To say it snowed 18" when there's only 13" on the ground.....

It doesn't compress that much, usually. But their job is to record how much it snows, not how deep it is. If that makes sense.

Some pics of last weekend's storm. My Kubota performed well!

Ok. I see the point.
We get those storms sometimes where we get 8" of snow then it turns to wet snow and/or rain and you end up with 3-4" of mushed mashed potatoes. So how much did it snow?
I've heard the saying "figures lie, liars figure", now I won't say figures lie, but they don't always tell the whole truth.

Well after 3 feet of snow in one storm in South Central Pennsylvania I decided to buy tire chains for the rear turf tires of my B2400. I had trouble getting traction on my driveway. My driveway is on a steep incline. Once the snow started to ice up it was tough even with 4wd. I bought a set of GT-23 two link heavy duty tire chains from tire chains.com. Just got them in the mail today and boy are they ever heavy duty. I put the set in a bag and put it on my bathroom scale and they weigh 105 lbs. Now I just need another snow to try them out.

Chains are a must! All four(4) Not sure how you could do much without them. Good LCG weight too. Especially with loaded front & rear tires.

Ps.. When it comes up duplicate post hit cancel, then delete to avoid duplicate posts.

No snow in Toronto at all. Just a lot of rain. Very little snow up at the cottage, either. All of the snowmobilers are getting really depressed. My tractor is even getting depressed, sitting there with the blower on the back, and nothing to do. Poor tractor!
