glad it has worked for you, & best regards on this open dialogue forum
additives & engine oil will always be a subject of discussion

The diesel in cold climate areas changes seasonally to have less wax in it to gel during the winter. The only time I've needed an anti-gel additive was when the cold hit hard and early, and I still had summer fuel in the tank.

It's common for me to end up with summer blend in the winter, and vice versa.

A direct result of having a 110 gallon fuel capacity in my 3500 and not driving it often.

1 qt to 30 gallons. Good lube quality and solvent enough to keep things clean.
sounds like ATF works for you. what is the basis of your decision to use, personal experience or what you have read? regards,

Maybe the main issue with ATF, as I understand it from reading quite a bit on the subject over the years, is that it doesn't really burn well.

It's also not exactly known for being a good lubricant, but more of a detergent.

Two bottles of Lucas injector cleaner arriving today. In a thread about DPF's elsewhere here a person claimed his short regen cycles were lengthened after using this Lucas product. I'm around 28 hour cycles now with a L4760.

Looking for a lube cleaner that wasn’t a danger to seals and o- rings

I posted a link to a small study on this site last year. I think it was from the state of Texas. If I remember correctly, ATF actually scored worse than nothing at all on a wear test 🤷‍♂️
I wouldn’t add it, personally.
In this one too; this HFRR study is the only one of it's kind to happen.
What's surprising is the #1 lubricity additive.
I'm still baffled by those that swear by adding ATF to the fuel tank. ATF is specifically designed to withstand high temperatures, and contains additives that do not burn.
