The diesel in cold climate areas changes seasonally to have less wax in it to gel during the winter. The only time I've needed an anti-gel additive was when the cold hit hard and early, and I still had summer fuel in the tank.

1 qt to 30 gallons. Good lube quality and solvent enough to keep things clean.
sounds like ATF works for you. what is the basis of your decision to use, personal experience or what you have read? regards,

Maybe the main issue with ATF, as I understand it from reading quite a bit on the subject over the years, is that it doesn't really burn well.

It's also not exactly known for being a good lubricant, but more of a detergent.
