You're right about giving some background, but I figured, since I started the thread it would be ok :D

Anyway, there isnt much background, bought the thing used, haven't done anything but put about 10 hours on it, it's ran pretty solid so far other than a starter that needs to get percussed when it's -10 outside...

After a bit of snowplowing this weekend, I noticed some white milky stuff under the right wheel hub... I'll check and take some pictures.

In that case i would say your front axle has water that leaks into it and what your seeing is what water and oil do, turn milky white. Its leaking out of the hub, would be my best guess. My uncles 10 year old JD had milkshake in the front axle when i changed the oil in it for him, it also leaks. Water is most likely getting in through the fill hole and a bad oring or in the same place its leaving from.

Umm worse case scenario. That would be if you never changed it and the oil/milkshake all ran out and you ran it ddry or if the oil kep getting diluted enough to not give adequate lubrication. I had an outboard motor that had a leaky foot in it. The oil would turn milky affter about 3 uses. I just changed it before winter and one or twice depending on usage during the season.

If its not bad id keep a check on it after you change the oil. It may jsut be an oring on the dipstick on top of the axle that needs to be replaced. It may take 3 years befor it gets milky again, you never know till you check it and replace it.
