HOW WET IS IT?

i am sick and tired of the rain. have stuff to do with the tractor, but it never dries out enough to do it. when i get a few days of nice weather i have to scramble to get grass cut, then in rains again.here is a pic. of my septic system that need to be graded and seeded, this was taken this morning at 8:15 very frustrated./w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif

Yeah, know what you mean, up here in the rainy Pacific NW we had had nearly a whole INCH of rain in the month of May. You can keep the rain, we like the sun! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

We are in a drought and have had 4mm of rain since start of March.

I live not too far from Newark NY which is close to the southern shore of Lake Ontario. They got 5-7 inches the other DAY!! Roads are closed and a walmart parking lot flooded so bad they had to bring in buses to get the people out who were trapped in the store. Parking lot had become a lake.

That line of thunderstorms yesterday will cost me half days work repairing lower driveway,filling couple of areas on the lawn w/loam,stones etc wash onto the lawn from the road way ditch /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif gotta get it done today,for the weather station calling for more rain tomorrow /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif not a good way to start a month vacation. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

thomas: beautiful morning this morning . sunny breezy, nd warm. got up early and sat out with my coffee, took a walk around the yard, though mabey i could mow later, this is what i saw. see atachment .figured i will work cleaning the garage and putting up a utility cabinet for one of my wife's friends(she volunteered me)./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Im sick of it also. My pond busted its banks and has spread to cover about 2 achers of my property. My garden is a complete wash out. Right now im running a 5.5 horse gas pump with 500 feet of 2" line to the top of my property where it is nice and dry. Looks like its gonna take days to get it drained some. Larry

Looks like you need about 3 or 4 days of good drying weather,and its sure hard to seat idle and watch the grass grow even higher knowing there nothing you can do about it. /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif

thomas we got a heavy t storm about 4 am, then bright and sunny and cool and windy. at least 3 days for normal stuff to dry, but more like 5 or 6 for the really wet ,low areas and grading work. but not to be, supossed to rain on and off for the next 3 days.

Sure wish that we in the interior west could have some of that rain. We're in a 4 year drought, the worst that has been recorded since 1896. The drought region includes Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, S. Utah, E. Wyoming, E Montana, Dakotas, W. Texas, and I'm sure that I missed a few states. Terrible dry. All of the lizards are packing canteens. Lot of large fires already.

34F and clear w/a light breeze over here this morning Frank /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif and looks to be a great day for 4 hours of trimming plus 3 hours of seat time,and thats only half of what I got to mowe and trim. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

After losing a well in the drought three years ago and now another this past winter, I don't believe I'll ever complain about too much rain. (We won't be needing and Ark around these parts any time soon!) We are currently 10" below normal and now May was below avg AGAIN!

It's strange and scary to see ponds and streams that have NEVER been dry, end up drying up!

Send me your excess water!

Send some or all of that rain out to Arizona! We've had just a little over an inch for the year..the timber in the northern and eastern parts of the state are very stressed and dry..just had a bad fire in the mountains around Tucson that has burned over 20,000 acres.

Well fellas, it must have been all this talk of rain.

We have just had 65mm of rain in the last 24 hours.

WWOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dam is about 1/3 full after a storm this morning and here's hoping for more.

JIM: know what u mean. was in tempe az. last month. always seems hot and dry to me, but my daughter was telling methat it has been extremly dry even for az. w e got enough today that would have helped u, all it did for me was add to the standing water and keep me out of the seat/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
