How to test safety switches

What is the easiest way to test the safety switches on my L5030? Having a no start problem and need to see if one of the switches is the cause. We think it might be a safety switch or maybe a starter solenoid. Can still start the tractor but have to by hot wiring the starter which bypasses all the safety switches. Plus I can't use my remote start!!

Easiest would probably be to use a jumper wire, or pull the connector and jump it with a paper clip or something. Most of them seem to be fairly easy to get to.

The only one I've ever had any issues with was on the L3800, when the one for the forward/reverse pedal apparently didn't go to the neutral position like it should. So that was more of a mechanical issue than electrical.

You can test individual switches with an ohmmeter if you can find them. As Jayhawk said though the problem could be mechanical. My problem was the rod upon which the seat pivots came loose on one end causing an intermittent problem.
