Front-End Loader How to remove FEL without hydraulic power

Lower the FEL to the ground in the front. Brace it up securely. Remove the pins on the mast for removing the FEL. Also remove the lower lift cylinder pins at the mast so that the mast can swing out as you slowly pull the tractor back.

You need to get the jack and blocks out from under the bucket. I see you have the pin removed from the left side bracket, I assume you have the right side also? If so you need to rig up some way to hold the front of the loader up from the top of the bucket or from under the cross tube so you can remove the blocks. Once the blocks and jack are out o& the way you can start lowering the bucket and arms , once the support legs touch the bucket should still be a few inches from the concrete, at this point the bucket weight will be gain to tilt the loader up and out of the rear supports the further itç—´ let down until the bucket rests flat on the concrete.

Also just noticed the kickstand legs are in the lowest holes, move them to the higher ones , this will give you more lift on the rear brackets as the bucket sets down.

Thanks heaps for all the responses.

I am using a proper car jack to lift the loader at the front and it's easy to remove the blocks. Yes, the pin is also removed on the right hand side :)

Asking a neighbour for help is not a good idea around here. The one guy with a tractor is accident-prone, dangerous and cannot work as a team (he let his other neighbour's borrowed tractor run away to finish up under water in his big pond... and habitually has other such issues, but that's another story). I hope to live longer...

I am thinking to allow the bucket to fully rest on the floor (might take a long time to settle) then chain the tractor to a post of the shed and pull it further inside (using a tensioner tool), hoping the FEL stays behind. There is about 2m clearance between the back of the carry-on and the shed wall. That would be identical to how it is meant to be removed with an operational tractor.

In the same way I managed to get the tractor inside the shed, which had been outside during the winter.

Will keep you updated.

Can you point out which "lower lift cylinder pins" you are referring to?

Thanks.

I should have said the lower pins on each lift cylinder. The pins that are just above the square piece sticking out of the mast. The cylinders would then not keep the mast from swinging out as you pull the tractor away. I hope that's clear enough as I have no idea how to electronically draw on a picture.

Just figured out how to lower to FEL. Open the hydraulic valve at the end of the hose(s). But with a reminder there is pressure on it... lol.

Is there a special tool to release the fluid in a controlled manner?

With the engine off, when you move the joy stick any fluid under pressure will go into the reservoir, until all pressure is removed.
If the bucket is up the bucket will lower.
I would not remove any pins form the cylinders

Have you ever seen a loader like this being removed before? If not, watch some you tube videos of quick attack loader removals, most newer brands of compact tractors are all very similar in the removal process, this will give you a idea of how its suppose to properly come off.

Put 2 wood blocks under the "kickstand" legs, then put the loader in float. That will let the loader down and with the blocks under the kickstands, it will push up on the mounting brackets where the "towers" connect to the tractor.
Then you will need to get the two "towers" leaning forward so that they will disengage from the brackets on the tractor.
You might need to disconnect the quick connects from the loader valve, remove the quick connects from the ends of the hoses and stick the ends of the hoses in a bucket (to catch the fluid that comes out).

That well do it. Might do it right now if the legs are near the ground by putting weight in the bucket.

The problem he has now is supporting the loader, he has the pins removed from the rear brackets, so he needs to either support it from under the cross tube or from the top of the bucket.

As I stated before, I have done this before. I was just having trouble remembering the details.

This post reminded me, once I had weight in the bucket, I ran 2000 pound rated straps from the bucket edge to the tops of the towers on each side.
