I am trying to rescue the strainers on my 1979 B7100HST. The smaller one on the right cleaned perfectly with gasoline, but the bigger on on the left still seems to be clogged (when I blow through the banjo bolt holes, hardly any air emits from the strainer). I'm soaking it overnight in gasoline, but have only dim hopes that will free up the strainer.

Is there a solution (liquid or conceptual) for getting it clean again? Do I need to replace with a new one? The strainer may have never been replaced, but it might have been cleaned by a mechanic about 12 years ago.

Many thanks for any ideas!

I don't know if some gum cutter/ carb cleaner would help.

They are not that expensive, just replace with a new one.
